bucket list inspo

I’ve been working on my bucket list for about a year now, and even though there’s a decent (and typical) amount of things on it, I figure this will never be an exhaust of list because I’m always coming up with things that I want to do, and even sometimes I fail to write things down. I wonder how many times I’ve mentally told myself I really want to do or experience something, and then forget to take note of it…tragic! I keep the list in the note app on my phone, because what’s a better way to store snippets of my ideas than with something that I always have glued to my side. I think if I lost my phone, I’d mostly be disappointed mainly because of everything I keep in my notes and then the photos. Perhaps for most people it would be the latter, but my notes consist of my thoughts, ideas, dreams (both actual dreams I’ve had while sleeping and those I want in life), things I want to buy or need in the future and so much more…it would be like losing a limb. Regardless of this, I’m letting you take a peek at my bucket list because I’m proud of it, I’ve included the items I’ve already done, and I’m hoping it can inspire you too. P.S. – […]

weekly summary

This week was a huge learning process for me, and I think I still have a long way to go in regards to knowing everything I need to for this class, and I still need more time to get comfortable with it because I’ve never done anything like this before, or worked with media in this way. I’m excited to learn but also still a bit nervous because I know I need to be on my A game since this sort of thing is so alien to me. Learning to navigate WordPress was more challenging than I thought, but the tutors at the Digital Knowledge Center were extremely helpful and I know I will be back there again soon. Despite the challenges I know I will face, I know if I manage my time correctly and stay on top of things, this will be an awesome learning experience with a theme that I enjoy so much!  #weeklysummary

what the 80’s mean to me

When I think of the 80s, I think of a setting/environment in which some of my favorite shows take place. (Stranger Things and Carrie Diaries [which deserves way more seasons that it got, by the way]). I love everything about the 80s, from the music, to the aesthetic of the clothing and the crazy neon colors; I would absolutely love to take a time machine back to the 80s.  Some of the most iconic and well-known movies were born in the 80s as well, for example, “The Karate Kid”, “E.T.”, ”Ghostbusters”, “’Back to the Future” and “The Breakfast Club”. I think we could really use these popular movies to explore the theme even more, and maybe even draw connections between them. I also think we could also look at the 80’s not just from a pop culture point of view, but take into account the political/social environment of the 80’s and how this influenced the pop culture. #ds106thingsthoughts
